We bought 18 boxes to put together for a closet we have converted to a wine storage. if you plan on putting multiple boxes together make sure you buy small brackets to screw all the pieces together (you can get these at hardware store). The four sides come with screws but the X inserts just slide in and are not very stable. With the brackets holding the inserts together and holding each box together we have created something we are happpy with. Is has turned out very pretty and works extremely well (and i am very picky). We also put three coats of stain (Brazil Nut from Sherwin Williams) which really cleaned up the imperfections of the wood. I will say if you are not handy with wood products and you want something very sturdy, this may not be the product for you. However as I said earlier, with the minor changes we made, this product works great for us.

[...]Assembly instructions need to be more clear to help novices like me--had to put first cube together 3 times!! All the rest went together quickly, but one screw came out too near the surface, and a chunk of wood broke off, leaving that cube much weaker. Otherwise very good product. Nicely flexible, using five in a closet, no room for last one, so waiting for inspiration. Capacity just as described, holds bottles securely, easy to separate different varieties. I am definitely happy with this product, and will consider buying more units if I need them in the future. It's a pleasure showing off my wines, esp. since I saved all kinds of money to spend on new bottles!! These are lots better than the collapsing wine boxes I was using.

We're very pleased with our cubes. They were easy to assemble and give us exactly what we wanted: sturdy construction and maximum storage for the space. We put ours in a closet and have happily filled all six with wine. This is a nice looking product and offers good value and quality.
