A-B
Baker's Wine Rack - A wine rack with a design reminiscent of a baker's rack. These often have shelves and are used in kitchens or living rooms.

Black - A term used to describe a finish that is black in color. This can either be black paint or black stain on wood.
C-D
Case - A case is basically a box that holds 12 wine bottles. Bottles are often shipped in, and sometimes sold by the case.

Commercial Wine Rack - We sell wine racks meant for both residential and commercial purposes. The only difference between these is that the commercial grade wine racks are built for more rigorous use. Both will perform well in a home setting.

Dark Woodc Decorative - This term, used to describe the style of the piece, means that the item is very decorative. It may not fit into the other categories that we have in our store. These are usually unique pieces with some kind of theme.

Display Row - A display row is a part of a wine rack that is designed to showcase several bottles. These rows often position several bottles at an angle and slightly in front of the other bottles in the rack to make them highly visible.

Étagere - An Étagere is a piece of furniture with open shelves used for displaying small ornaments.
G-J
Glaze - A finish process of a thin smooth shiny coating to highlight grain characteristics of wood.

Global/Exotic style - This style is inspired by the materials and design of tropical or far-away places. These pieces are typically non-western and non-traditional in design.
K-L
Kiln-dried Hardwood - Specially treated hardwood to reduce the moisture found in the lumber, thereby ensuring that the frame will not crack, split or warp.

Knot - Knot shapes are carved on wood to bring extra ornament and style, or can be a natural darker area in the grain of the wood.

M-N
Mahogany - Durable tropical wood with handsome grain in a reddish color.

Maple - A hard, heavy, and light-colored natural grain wood.

Metal - Many of our wine racks are contstructed of metal. This durable, attractive material is a perfectly viable option for wine racks.

Modern/Contemporary - Modern wine racks are characterized by bold styling with striking shapes and lines.

Modular - Modular wine racks are designed to be added together to create larger set-ups. Many of our wine storage racks are modular.

Molding - Molding is a strip of wood designed to match your wine rack. The strip is placed along the seam between the rack and the ceiling or floor. This creates a much more finished look that will impress your guests.
O-P
Oak - Durable wood of any of numerous deciduous or evergreen trees or shrubs of the genus Quercus, bearing acorns as fruit.

Open Wine Rack - An open wine rack is one where the stored bottles are still plainly visible. These racks provide good air circulation around your wine.

Pine - any evergreen, coniferous tree of the genus Pinus, having long, needle-shaped leaves, certain species of which yield timber, turpentine, tar, pitch, etc.
Q-R
Redwood - a coniferous tree, Sequoia sempervirens, of California, noted for its great height, sometimes reaching to more than 350 ft.

Rustic - Rustic style wine racks are characterized by their rough look. They are most often constructed of pine.
S-T
Stackable Wine Rack - Stackable wine racks are designed so they may be placed on top of each other to double the storage capacity of the rack. These are generally half the height of a normal wine rack, so when stacked they take up about the same amount of space.

Tasting Table - Tasting tables are specifically designed to taste wine on. These are often built into or on top of wine racks.

Traditional - Traditional style wine racks offer a sense of familiarity. Their classic styling allows them to fit into most dÉcor.

Transitional - Transitional pieces are a blend of traditional and modern styling. They combine the rich detail of traditional furniture with the bold lines and shapes of modern.
U-V
Varnish - A finish that is meant to protect the wood and provide some darker finish
W-Z
Walnut - European hardwood with dark brown color.

Wall Mounted Wine Rack - A large number of our wine racks are considered wall mounted. This term applies to racks designed to hang on the wall and those that need to be secured to the wall for safety reasons.

Wine Glass Rack - Wine glass racks offer convenience by placing your wine glasses where you need them... right next to your bottles. Paired with a tasting table, wine glass racks provide the ultimate in style and comfort.

Wrought Iron - Wrought iron is a classic furniture construction material that really stands out. Wrought iron wine racks are a durable and attractive alternative to wood racks.
